The Ghosts Can Interact, So Can We!
Players will be able to interact with their environment in a lot of ways, almost in the same ways as the ghost!
Of course players are not ghosts so cannot levitate or induce hallucinations, but they can copy a lot of the same interactions.
Players can open and close doors, windows, turn lights on and off, move furniture, throw things, knock on surfaces, even communicate verbally with ghosts, to name a few.
How a player behaves is heavily scrutinized and judged by the ghost, naturally having different traits and behaviors, ghosts for all intents and purposes, have a personality.
They will interact with the player both reactively and proactively, the latter being driven by other factors and not just on a predefined timer, ghosts can hold grudges… or pick favorites.
Using a combination of tools, devices, fact finding and intuition players will need to attain certain conditions to fully perfect a mission, with the main goal of either banishing the ghost or taking the necessary steps to release the ghost to afterlife being the main objective, although players can return to the HQ at any point and receive the rewards for what they did manage to accomplish.
