# Personality & Behavior

Unlike a lot of other paranormal horror games, Project Apparition presents an alternative to constant threat.

Our ghosts can be neutral, or friendly, players can do things that they approve of, and the players have a chance through being attentive and considerate to befriend the ghost during their investigation and hopefully help them pass to the afterlife.

{% hint style="info" %}
Ghosts were living human beings once, lets reflect that.
{% endhint %}

Players shouldn't feel too at ease though for ghosts can be very dangerous and fickle, quick to anger.

Upsetting ghosts can turn them hostile, if they were not already, and if players push them too far they will attack with the intent to kill, players can turn friendly ghosts into hostile ghosts if they disrespect them and don't play by the ghosts rules within the haunt.

{% hint style="info" %}
Ghosts leave a mark on the world of the living.
{% endhint %}

Ghosts will interact with almost everything within their haunt, even players, when they are not throwing random objects, pushing over furniture, flicking light switches or opening and closing doors they will try and scare the players by tricking them with hallucinations.

They may even perform for the players, the intensity of the interactions, and unique ones are defined by the ghosts personality traits and disposition towards the players.
