Building Ghosts Is What We Do.
All ghosts will have a story to unravel, a reason for being, the players need to figure that out and help them along to the afterlife, or banish them instead, depending on the specifics.
These reasons and definitions will be baked into the ghost entity, whether that is a broken limb, burnt skin or drowned and sodden each ghost can tell its story through how they appear, even how they move, crawling, limping or striding, etc, it will all tell a story.
Every ghost has a reason for being.
Ghosts will have personalities, a combination of traits that define how they act and behave, what angers them or what soothes them, what they like to do around the haunt even.
We will also have ghost types, that are defined by creating unique random weight distributions during ghost generation, Banshee’s for instance will always be female, and Poltergeists will always have the telekinetic trait.
